Year 12 Dance Callback Excursion

Mar 3, 2026 2:44 PM

In February, Year 12 Dance class travelled to the Seymour Centre for an inspiring and enriching day dedicated to their HSC Dance studies.

Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in dynamic workshops led by senior HSC markers, refining their skills in composition, appreciation and performance. These sessions provided valuable insight into course expectations and practical strategies they can apply directly to their own projects.

They also heard from high-achieving 2025 HSC Dance graduates from across NSW, who generously shared their experiences, creative processes and advice. Their reflections were both motivating and reassuring, offering a clear picture of what is possible through dedication and creative risk-taking.

In the evening, the class attended Callback , a showcase of exemplary HSC practical works. Witnessing performances of such exceptional quality was deeply inspiring and gave students a powerful sense of the standard they are working towards.

The experience left our Year 12 dancers energised, focused and ready to action their learning as they continue developing their works for the HSC.
