Scholarships
OLMC Scholarships are a means of making a Mercy education, with its tradition of academic and musical excellence, available to more young women.
OLMC Scholarship Application Process
Scholarships open on the first day of October and close the following February. The College offers four scholarships for daughters of alumnae, general excellence, performing arts, and sports. Prior to applying, please review individual scholarships information below. You may apply under more than one category.
Step 1: Apply Online
During the application process, you must register and pay a $200 Application Fee for academic testing with an external provider. Applicants must provide supporting evidence demonstrating their eligibility and suitability per the selection criteria and requirements. Upon submission, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your application. Please note: Only the required supporting documents will be considered. Additional documents not listed will not be reviewed.
Step 2: Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview with the Principal (or delegate) in May.
Step 3: Scholarship Offers and Outcomes
Successful Scholarship applicants will receive a Letter of Offer via email. To formally accept the Scholarship, recipients must: 1. Sign and return the Letter of Offer 2. Pay a $1,200 Scholarship Acceptance Confirmation Fee 3. Pay a $2,000 Tuition Contribution Fee These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

General Excellence Scholarship
The General Excellence Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement as well as achievement in one or more of the following: sport (State or National level), music, performance, art, leadership or community service.
Eligibility & Criteria
To be eligible for the General Excellence Scholarship, the applicants must be:
- Enrolled at the College to commence in Year 7; and
- An Australian citizen
Applicants are assessed using a combination of the following selection criteria:
- Excellent academic and attendance records
- Demonstrates a contribution to the candidate’s current school
- Examples of leadership and community service
- Sporting achievements (State or National level)
- Participation and outstanding achievement in the arts (music, performance or visual arts)
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
The following documents are required for your application to be processed:
- The applicant’s most recent school report
- The applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
- A statement from the applicant outlining how they will contribute to the OLMC Parramatta community
Pamela Page Performing Arts Scholarship
The Pamela Page Performing Arts Scholarship is named after one of OLMC Parramatta’s most accomplished musical alumnae.
A pianist, Pamela Page graduated from OLMC Parramatta with the Class of 1947, accepting a Scholarship to the Trinity College of Music in London where she was awarded the Maude Seton Prize for the Most Outstanding Student. She was then accepted into Walter Gieseking’s Master Class in Saarbrucken. Pamela has performed for the BBC, ABC, and with every major Australian orchestra.
In 2011, Pamela, along with her husband Max Olding, received the award of Doctor of Music honoris causa from the University of Queensland. The couple performed together for over 50 years.

To be eligible for the Pamela Page Performing Arts Scholarship, the applicants must be:
- Enrolled at the College to commence in Year 7; and
- An Australian citizen
Applicants are assessed using a combination of the following selection criteria:
- Sound academic and attendance records
- Demonstrates a contribution to the candidate’s current school
- Examples of leadership and community service
- Participation and outstanding achievement in the performing arts
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
The following documents are required for your application to be processed:
- The applicant’s most recent school report
- The applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
- Additional awards relevant to the area for which the applicant is applying (e.g. piano grades)
- A statement from the applicant outlining how they will contribute to the OLMC Parramatta community
Sports Scholarship
The Sports Scholarship will be awarded to a student in Years 7-12 who has a genuine desire, work ethic, and belief that they can maximise their potential and attain sporting excellence.
Eligibility & Criteria
To be eligible for the Sports Scholarship, the applicants must be:
- Enrolled at the College to commence in Year 7; and
- An Australian citizen
The candidate should demonstrate sporting achievements at an elite level (State or National) and will apply the same dedication to their schoolwork and the OLMC community as an elite sportswoman.
Applicants are assessed using a combination of the following selection criteria:
- Sound academic and attendance records
- Demonstrates a contribution to the candidate’s current school
- Examples of leadership and community service
- Sporting achievements (State or National level)
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

- The applicant’s most recent school report
- The applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
- Evidence of sporting achievements (State or National level)
- A statement from the applicant outlining how they will contribute to the OLMC Parramatta community
Alumnae Scholarship
The Alumnae Scholarship is awarded to students related to an OLMC alumnae. The candidate should also demonstrate a passion and vision to help others within and outside of her community.
Eligibility & Criteria
To be eligible for the Alumnae Scholarship, the applicants must be:
- Enrolled at the College to commence in Year 7; and
- An Australian citizen
Applicants are assessed using a combination of the following selection criteria:
- Be a daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter of an OLMC alumnae
- Sound academic and attendance records
- Demonstrates a contribution to the candidate’s current school
- Examples of leadership and community service
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
The following documents are required for your application to be processed:
- The applicant’s most recent school report
- The applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
- A statement from the applicant outlining how they will contribute to the OLMC Parramatta community
ALUMNAE SPONSOR
In addition to the requirements of the applicant, the alumnae sponsoring the candidate should be willing to join the Alumnae Association Committee for the duration of the enrolment or contribute in a capacity appropriate to the alumnae as decided by the Principal and Alumnae Committee President.
