Governance

The Sisters of Mercy Parramatta founded OLMC Parramatta in 1889. In 2002 they appointed a College Board to carry on the mission of Mercy in the ministry of education at the College.

A Ministry of Mercy Partners

Since November 2021, the College has been under the canonical sponsorship and civil ownership of Mercy Partners, entrusted to them by the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta.

The Mercy Partners ministerial PJP assumes the role of the canonical sponsor of Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta. The civil relationship is that Mercy Partners Limited is the sole Member of the organisation that operates the Ministry. The day-to-day operations of the College remains under the governance of their board.

Mercy Partners commits to ensure that their ministries flourish as Catholic ministries that contribute to the emergence of a world where the healing, liberating, and life-giving mercy of God is experienced.
