Marine Studies Unboxes Fishing Equipment
Marine Studies students unboxed a very exciting delivery last week! The delivery of fishing gear is thanks to a joint initiative between the Marine Teachers Association of NSW, the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust, and the Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA).
The College received over $3,000 worth of fishing gear which included rod and reel combinations, tackle trays, a yabby pump, landing nets, and gear bags. These items are all part of AFTA's Let's Go Fishing Program which aims to get more Australians out on the water and enjoying recreational fishing.
All donated items will be used in Term 4 when our Year 9 Marine Studies students begin their fish harvesting topic.
