We’re now in the second week of the HSC Trial Exams, and we continue to keep the Class of 2026 in our prayers. Trial exams can be a daunting time, and our students are handling themselves exceptionally well as they practise and refine their skills, increasing their confidence in exam environments. I have every confidence in their knowledge, skills, and dedication which reflects that of their teachers. Girls, I wish you the best of luck with the remainder of your trial exams. We are all cheering you on; every step of the way.  

In case you missed it, the OLMsCene magazine is out now. In this edition we visit Marian Residential Care with the Heart 2 Heart Program, learn dance moves with K-Pop Vibes (led by two Year 8 students), celebrate alumnae achievements in their chosen careers, and so much more. I encourage you all to read the magazine if you haven’t done so already. It really is a fantastic edition! 

Coming up, Monday, 17 August is a Pupil Free Day as staff undertake professional learning. Later that week, we will hold our HSC Showcase on Thursday, 20 August in the Ailsa Mackinnon Community Centre. All members of the OLMC Community are welcome to attend. Moving into the second half of Term 3, we look forward to Book Week which will be held from Monday, 24 – Friday, 28 August. I am eager to see all of the wonderful bookish themed costumes at this year’s parade! On Friday, 4 September we welcome fathers and grandfathers to the annual Father Daughter Mass. Mass will begin at 7.15 am in the Mother Mary Clare Dunphy Memorial Chapel, followed by light refreshments in the Convent Garden. If you have yet to RSVP for this special event, you can register your attendance here. 

Lastly, I’d like to remind Year 12 parents to purchase their tickets for the Graduation Lunch. You can purchase tickets by clicking here. Ticket sales will close on Friday, 28 August. Year 12 students are not required to purchase a ticket as this has already been allocated. A reminder that all Year 12 students are required to attend the lunch.
