Welcome back to Term 3! I trust that you all had a relaxing and peaceful break during the school holidays.  

Our Year 12 Students have spent this break maintaining their commitment to their studies. As part of that, many of our teachers conducted revision workshops for Year 12 students during the break. Forty-five Year 12 teachers participated and I thank them one and all for their dedication to our girls. We wish students well for the upcoming trial HSC period. I hold them in my prayers throughout - that they experience a stable rhythm of life, without illness or undue distress, to enable them to do their very best. 

This term has begun in the usual way... with lots of activity and vibrancy as the girls reunite and catch up on all that has happened for them in the break. Last week, we held our Year 12 Performing Arts HSC Showcase. This event featured students from Music, Dance, and Drama as they performed selections from their HSC programs. Each student performed superbly, showcasing their dedication, skill, and creativity. 

Our 2026/2027 Student Leaders also attended their Leadership Camp at the Mary Mackillop Spirituality Centre last week. This is always an enriching experience for our students as they navigate their new roles. We have a fantastic student recap on the camp in this week’s newsletter which I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading as much as I did.  

In other exciting news, I am delighted to announce that the final two rooms on the top level, T5 and T7, in the Martha O'Sullivan Design and Technology Centre have now been fully refurbished, marking the completion of this exciting upgrade project. This project was completed ahead of time, and I thank all the staff who contributed their time, expertise, and support.  

The newly enhanced spaces have been designed as multifunctional environments that can be utilised by a variety of TAS areas, providing greater flexibility for teaching, learning, collaboration, and innovation. 

This project would not have been possible without the P&F who donated $30,000 for these upgrades.  

On the horizon, the annual OLMC Ski Trip will take place from Friday, 7 – Sunday, 9 August. The trip is a wonderful opportunity for our students to uncover a lifelong appreciation for snow sports and the unique alpine environment. On Tuesday, 11 August we invite all parents to join us for our P&F Meeting. This will be held online via Zoom from 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm. You can RSVP to this meeting by clicking here. A reminder to all that Monday, 17 August will be a Pupil Free Day as staff engage in Professional Learning.  

As we settle into the rhythm of Term 3, we prepare for a busy calendar full of College favourites: our annual HSC Showcase, Father-Daughter Mass, Mercy Day, and Graduation. I look forward to a fantastic term with you all.
