Special 125 Years Anniversary Concerts a tribute to Mercy Excellence

On Thursday June 5 and Friday June 5 2014, audiences were served a real treat at the OLMC Parramatta special 125 Anniversary Concerts at Riverside Theatre, Parramatta.

Principal Stephen Walsh said the evenings were a musical celebration of 125 year Mercy story here in Parramatta where girls have been provided a holistic education centred on the pursuit of excellence, empowered to take their place as young women who will make a significant and positive difference in our world.

"How proud the nine foundational Sisters of Mercy would be today to see the result of their work and commitment to God and the inspiration given them by Catherine McAuley in the wonderful school we have today at OLMC".

The evenings showcased the extent of Mercy talent featuring performances from current students and staff and also ex students. It was also the world premiere for some pieces specially commissioned to mark OLMC's 125 year milestone in 2014.
