2017 Mother Daughter Mass Celebrated

On the afternoon of Monday May 15, 2017,  over 380 mothers, grandmothers, aunts, female carers joined Mercy Girls for the much-loved annual Mother Daughter Mass.

This year, due to an increase in numbers, the Mass was held in the new Ailsa Mackinnon Community Centre. Mrs Kirwan, mother of Bridget in Year 12, shared a powerful reflection on the subtleties and integration of Mercy Values in her daily life as mother. Mrs Kirwan also shared the many coincidental familial connections to Callan, the Irish home of the Parramatta Sisters of Mercy.

The Eucharist was led by College Chaplain Fr Walter Fogarty. Many thanks to the staff and students who made this event possible. Thank you also to the P&F fathers who assisted with the serving of the supper.
